Eight starters return and two extra players that played a lot last season. The captains for this year’s team are Brock Anderson and Cade Stratton, two returning offensive starters. Behn Worley and Sam Ferkler both return on defense. The starting goalie is George Santilla, who played a fair amount of games as goalie last year.

“Teamwork, we have a lot of talent but we’re only as strong as our weakest link,” said Coach Friel when asked what his biggest obstacle for the team could be this season. He wants his team to compete everyday in practice and in games.

Their expectations for this season are to win the Central League, districts, and a state title. Yes, this is a lot for a team that went 8-10 last season. The team won its first game vs. Great Valley 15-7.

The team has a long a road ahead of them playing in the Central League; three of the last four state champions are in the Central League. The hardest games this season will be Springfield, Radnor, Penncrest, Conestoga and Garnet Valley. Garnet Valley has the best player in the nation.  The team captains expect the team to make a run at the state championship this year.
